I don’t usually send a second email between events—hope you’ll forgive me! A quick reminder that Track Changes is coming up on February 3, featuring Eshani Surya, author of Ravishing, & Kristina Ten, author of Tell Me Yours, I’ll Tell You Mine. I’m really looking forward to these conversations & readings!
But really, I’m sending this to share that funds from the pay-it-forward community pool tickets will be donated to Tending the Soil, an MN-based coalition supporting organizers on the ground, legal observers, rapid response efforts, & community defense. (Authors will still receive their honoraria from ticket sales, as usual.) You can donate via the “pay it forward” option on Eventbrite or mention at the door.
There’s a lot to say, & I know I’m speaking to folks who already feel this, too, but as an immigrant and a horrified human being living through this unchecked, state-sanctioned violence and harm: fuck ICE & the politicians & pundits who launder & profit from all of this inhumane horror.
